If you need to contact the society there are several ways you may get in touch with us. Please make sure to check our hours before planning a visit. If you are planning to do genealogical research, it is advisable to call ahead to talk with one of our genealogical specialists in order to ensure that one of them is on site at the time of your visit. NOTE: We observe the Sussex County holiday schedule.
Visiting The Society
Please note that if you are traveling any distance to visit the historical society, please call ahead to confirm that the building will be open on the day of your visit. We are a volunteer organization, and the nature of volunteer organizations are that things do happen and occasionally there are unforeseen conflicts which result in our having to close. Please feel free to telephone and make arrangements so that we can arrange to have a volunteer there to meet you.

Directions
From Route 80 (east or west) take Exit 25.
Follow Route 206 North (which becomes Main Street in Newton) 11.6 miles.
The Hill Memorial is on your left-hand side at the corner of Church Street, one block before you reach the center of town.
