M.A.R.C.H and the Walpack Historical Society are hosting events this weekend. There are also two request for vendors and volunteers.

Date: Sunday, Aug 17 The Society meets in the Walpack Church. 12pm – Noon is a Lawn picnic (bring lunch and a chair) 1pm – General Meeting followed by a speaker or field trip.

Kevin Wright will be speaking to the Walpack Historical Society and any and all listeners interested in local history on “Political dissent in Sussex County 1861-1865” at 1PM on Sunday, August 17, 2014, in the historic Walpack Methodist Episcopal Church, located on Main Street, Walpack Center, in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

SaturdayAugust 16-1:00 – 1:30 Program: “Harmony in Motion” Musical Quartet “Harmony in Motion” is a group of singers dedicated to the preservation of barbershop style four part acappella harmony. They enjoy developing the skills involved in both the musical and visual aspects of their performance. They treasure the lifelong friendships made in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. The Montague Assoc. for the Restoration of Community History is hosting the ladies of the Lost Arts Lacers at the Foster Armstrong House on Sunday, Aug. 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Foster Armstrong House, 320 River Road in Montague, NJ. Visit us to see beautiful demonstrations of handmade lace from past and present. Then stop by the Neldon-Roberts Stonehouse, circa 1820, located at 501 Rt. 206 North for a colonial herb garden tour from the Minisink Garden Club.
