Description : Walpack Historical Society will present “More on Pleasant Valley” by Myra Snook, historian. Myra’s talk will include information on the Van Horn family, Nicholas Tillman (stonemason), John Dimon, and their activities in the Tillman’s Brook area.

Lusscroft Farm Barn Sale

Where:  Lusscroft  Farm
50 Neilson Rd. Wantage, NJ
Entrance at Rt 519 at mile marker 81
Date: June 20th & 21,  9:00 AM- 3:00 PM

Description:Browse 2 old barns filled with toys, furniture, baskets, decorations, glassware, dishes, home/garden items, used books, and a bake sale. Proceeds go to restorations efforts at Lusscroft Farm.  Presented by non-profit Heritage & Agriculture Assoc. in cooperation with N.J. Dep/Div of Parks & Forestry

40th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show

Where:Location: Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club in Arlington, NJ  
Date: Saturday June 21, 10:00 AM- 4:00 Pm
Description: this classic boat show sees people who love such classic models come from far and wide. All kinds of boats are on display, including antique and classic wooden boats that are meticulously preserved, and there is an award contest as well to recognize those that have preserved the condition and character of their classic vessels.a

Mineral Collecting at Sterling Hill (Nighttime: Museum Members only)

Where: Sterling Hill Mining Museum, Ogdensburg, NJ
Time: 6:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
Description:
Night collecting at Sterling Hill is scheduled twice a year for museum members only. Collecting is allowed on the Mine Run dump and in the Passaic pit  and “saddle” areas.  Bring sturdy footwear, a strong hammer (carpenter’s claw hammers not allowed), and eye protection.  A dark room with a shortwave ultraviolet light is provided on-site for inspection of fluorescent minerals. Fees: $5 admission plus $1.50 per pound for any minerals taken. Fee does NOT include mine tour.
Age Requirements: 7 years & up on the Mine Run dump; 13 & up elsewhere
