“History of the First Baptist Church of Wantage, Sussex, New Jersey”

    "The following is a copy of the earliest roll of members extant,
with such additions as were made by the church clerks, copied 1931 by
Mrs. Jennie Little Meeker, and she presented to us at that time her
carbon copy of that list which we still have.    
    (Note:  You will comprehend that may names are repeated, this I
assume is due to a re-writing of the rolls).

        Sufiah Vanderhuff-The minutes of the church dated 
           May 9, 1797 state; Sufiah Vanderruff a member 
           of Warwick Church was received from that church into
           the membership of the Wantage Baptist Church
           Mrs. Meeker and I were both of the opnion that her
           maiden name was Sophia Dunn and therefore a 
          relative of the Dunn's and Martins.

        entered his own family record
        Evi Adams Bornd in the year of our Lord 1744 on the 
           17th day of December
        Jane Lewis (his wife) bornd 29th of January 1748
        On the 28th day of Apriel 1768 the said Evi and
           Jane were joined together in the bonds of Mattermony,
        Lewis Adams their son ware bornd the 23rd day of 
           February 1769
        John Admas their son was bornd March the 22nd day 1772
        Joseph Adams their son was bornd February 1st day 1774
           and died the 28th day of November following
        Ann Adams their daughter ware bornd the 22nd day of 
            November, 1775
        Sarah Adams their daughter borned - Feb. 9th day 1778
        Elizabeth Adams their daughter bornd the 5th day of
           September 1780
        Joseph Adams their son bornd the 15th day of March, 1783
        Evi Adams their son born 31st day of August 1785
        Ellis Adams their son bornd the 26th day of November 1787"
